Designed by John M. Browning, Winchester's High-Wall single-shot rifle began life at the end of the buffalo hunting era and made its name in the golden age of target shooting before World War I. One of the great American hunting rifles, the High-Wall's strong falling block action, protected by a high steel frame, allowed production in a tremendous range of calibers. Uberti offers a line of High-Wall rifles including the round-barreled Carbine, the octagon-barreled Sporting Rifle with straight grip, and the Special Sporting Rifle offered with straight or checkered pistol grip.
